hello! this is us :)
We are three nonbinary peeps, invested in creating a community space for the queer community. A space we have all been in need of at one point or another.
The Pond has, and always will be for, by and with the community. This space is for you, so reach out if you have any feedback or wishes so that you can engage with the space in a safe and creative way.
Here is a little about us, and what we do at The Pond.

Reading is one of my many passions, I love exploring different narratives and expanding my mind set along the way. Running a bookstore has been a dream of mine but it has never been a priority whilst pursuing other passions like drag, dancing, ballroom and comics. I am ready to settle down, take a break from creating for personal enjoyment, and start giving back to the community that has supported me so much.
I am in the bookstore most days, and I am the one in charge of book selection and ordering, as well as book related events and gatherings. Writing newsletters, doing graphics, and email/SoMe correspondences are another part of my work related to The Pond.

I take care of supplier relation and menu of the café part of The Pond, as well as financial management.
I might not be able to recommend many books, but I will make you a nice oat latte. I’ve worked in hospitality for the past decade, and just as I was ready to make a move out of that industry Wil lassoed me into this project haha 🙂. No, but I honestly I adore making coffee for all you queer people of Copenhagen and beyond.
I also love making silly little games, scavenger hunts, and puzzles which we hope one day will be a part of The Pond.

I’m dyslexic, but I love a good story, so I’m trying to up my reading game, and I have really been getting into short speculative fiction works. Running a bookstore café is a wild dream that I’ve never thought to be possible, but it’s here and happing. Wow! I love interacting with the community and meeting new people.
I am in the store three days a week as an intern. I take care of small odd jobs, like being at the counter, participating in events, and of course creating all the good vibes.
