Book clubs

The Small Queer Press Book Club is a continuous 2025 book club at The Pond aiming to uplift queer published works from smaller -mostly indie- presses focusing on diverse stories of LGBTQIA+ life and people.

The Gender Theory and Also Sometimes Gender Fiction Book Club started because we wanted to discuss Whipping Girl, and it grew from there. We read all sorts of gender related books, mostly theoretical and academic works, from Julia Serano to Talia Bhatt and from bell hooks to Ursula K. Le Guin's speculative fiction. So far we haven't dared to tackle Judith Butler yet, but we'll get there someday ;)
