Spells 4 Utopia: Trading Card Workshop “Utopia & Community” - SIGN-UP!

An anarchist trading card game where we map out how our needs, dreams, and visions could come to life collectively. We will create the cards ourselves and play the game with them. Afterwards you’ll get to take your cards home with you. May your utopian spells be cast far and wide!

Goal of workshop:

Have the participants work together to imagine how their needs, dreams, and visions could be realised collectively. Each participant with create several original trading cards they will get to take home as a reminder of what they wish to manifest.

Structure of workshop:

We will start out by individually mapping out each of our visions for a utopian world. The different components that make it up will be the starting point for the first trading cards you’ll make.

After this first round we’ll look at the cards everyone has made and talk about how they add up to our utopias. We’ll also discuss and take notes of what these different components need to be realised, or what could come after them.

For the second round we will be making trading cards that enable someone else's utopian fragments.

After this round we’ll attempt to play the trading card game by linking together different cards and creating new narratives collectively.
